Lots of cards to share with you today!

Hi All,
I have not been on my blog in so long. You know how life happens, hubby gets sick, you get sick and then there's other stuff like a friend having surgery. Well, that's all behind us, the friend, Sybil is recovering nicely. I will be visiting with her tomorrow. In the meantime, I have been making cards but I have not been posting them.

The first one is a Friendship card using the Vintage Vogue Stamp Set#117690-$23.95 for the Wood set and #118598-$17.95 for the Clear Mount set. Card stock: Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White Ink: Close to Cocoa and Old Olive Accessories: Rhinestone Brads-Fire Circles So quick and easy! Hubby, Gary really liked this card when I showed this group of cards.

Next, 2 of the same design just different placement of the papers
again, I use the Vintage Vogue Stamp Set. I love the Clear Mount stamps, it's so easy to line everything up! Sentiments are stamped with Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set.
Card stock: Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and Very Vanilla
Ink: Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive
A bunch of Punches were used: Eyelet-one of my favorites, Modern Label and Word Window All are priced at $15.95 each. The final item I used was the 5/8" Satin Ribbon in Very Vanilla- $8.95 for 15 yards #117291.

Well for some reason, blogger doesn't want to let me upload another picture so I will say, "To be continued..."

Happy April First!

Wonderful Mother card

Hello,

I'm so glad you stopped by my blog today. I have another little card to share. It's a Mother's Day card that we will be making at my next workshop! It's never too soon to prepare for the upcoming holidays.

I cased it off a card I found by Mary Director. I hope I got the name correct.

The card stock colors are Whisper White, Rose Red, and a print from the Welcome Neighbor Designer Series Paper Pad that you can earn for FREE by purchasing $50 or more through the end of March only.

The Stamp I used is from the Well Scripted set in the Spring Occasions Mini.

1. The Whisper White card stock was embossed with the Daises texture plate.
2. The pink print and rose red were cut using the Big Shot and Top Note die,
I trimmed the printed piece just inside the 'stitches.'
3. The Ink used is the Basic Brown.
4. Finally, I embellished it with Sweet Pea Stitched Felt pieces and a little Organza ribbon bow.

It was very easy and only took a few minutes to make. If you try stamping you might really enjoy it. I hope you will soon!

Have a great day!

Friendship card-Here for You!

Hi Everyone!

I hope you are having a tremendously beautiful Tuesday! It's a lovely day here in Oklahoma! It's 58 degrees at almost 1PM and getting warmer! Much better than yesterday, it was raining and we had a tornado in western Oklahoma. Yikes! Good news is that there were no injuries.

I am sharing a simple little friendship card named "Here for You" that I think anyone would like to receive. I mentioned that I made 8 of these for a swap at our monthly Stampin' UP meeting I attended last night in about an hour! That's included cutting the cardstock and everything.

Stamp set: 24/7
Card stock: Pretty in Pink, Old Olive, Rose Red and Whisper White
Ink Pads: VersaMark, Stason Black
Markers: Old Olive, Rose Red and Pretty in Pink

I used VersaMark on the Pretty in Pink card stock to add texture. The Stason Black ink pad is used because it is waterproof and will not smudge.

Accessories: Eyelet Border Punch on the Old Olive and the Blender Pens with the markers. I learned that if you stroke the blender pen lightly on the leaves or petals first, then add the color with the markers the color spreads out better!

You know, I've only been making cards since June of last year and sometimes I add brads or ribbon or whatever but, truly I think less is more especially in the case of this card.

I hope you enjoyed dropping by as much as I enjoyed sharing this little card with you today! Leave a comment to let me know you visited and tell me what you think!

I hope your day is good! God bless you!

Happy Bird day to You!

Hello!

Monday almost got away without me getting in a post on my blog! But here it is! It was a busy weekend! Saturday was my Stamp-A-Stack class and church on Sunday with hubby. He loves to watch the Nascar races so Sunday afternoon was spent doing that. I had a few cards to make for a swap and so in about an hour last night I made 8 of them before going to bed! I will share a photo of that one tomorrow.

For now I have a card titled 'Happy Bird day to You' to share with you. I used several items that are found in the Occasions Mini Catalog like the Extra Large 2 Step Bird Punch for the bird and leaves; the Perfect Polka Dots textured impressions folder that makes the raised dots on the Bashful Blue background. The Scallop Border Punch was used on the Barely Banana card stock. The bird's wing is mounted with a dimensional. Overall, it's a simple and fast card that says 'Happy Birthday' in a different way! That is the only stamping done on the card! You can earn that stamp set by hosting a workshop with just a few of your friends!

Want more details or if I can help you with your Stampin' UP needs just email me at gaylesstampinnook@cox.net

Have a great night. I promise to post earlier tomorrow!

Blessings,

Gayle

Another 'The Greatest gift is a portion of thyself' card

Here's a variation of Friday's card! Notice how adding another color adds more dimensions and depth to a card. I like this one even better. Just that little extra bit added on is pretty neat. Hope you enjoyed it!

I hope you will have your friends over and get some stamping done soon! Have a great Sunday!

Thanks for stopping by! As we say in Oklahoma, "Ya'll come back soon."

SAS #3 The greatest gift is a portion of thyself card.

Hi All,

Here's a little card that I cased from another demo, sorry, I can't remember her name. It's made with the stamp set: "Off the Earth" You can earn this stamp set for hostessing a workshop with just a few friends plus earn a bunch more FREE Stampin' UP! product!

The card stock used: Soft Suede and Apricot Appeal!
Ink pad: VersaMark! Isn't it cool how it looks like a watermark?
Soft Suede Polka Dot ribbon and 3 little gold brads dress it up a little!
Other tools used are the 1 1/4" square punch and the scallop square punch!

One little tip: Use the Mat Pack and the Paper-Piercing Tool on page of 191 of the Big Catalog to space the brads equally apart!

So simple and easy!

Thanks for dropping by my blog to check out what I've been doing!

Run Away Bunny...SAS #3 Happy Easter

Hi Everyone,

It has been so long since I have posted on my blog. So sorry but I am back and I have a card to share! It's the cute Chocolate Bunny that is in our Occasions mini catalog that is good only through April 30, 2010! ITEM # 116980 and only costs $7.95! I used the Whisper White, Summer Sun, Chocolate Chip and Old Olive card stock. With the Big Shot I textured the Whisper White with the Elegant Bouquet folder. Then I colored the middle of the flowers with the Summer Sun marker. Stamp the bunny with Chocolate Chip ink on Chocolate Chip card stock, cut around the bunny and snip the grass with your paper snips then stamp and punch out "Happy Easter" and the sun! Now layer it all together and glue with Snail adhesive and you have a cute little card!

A group of ladies will be making 2 of these and 8 more cards at my March 6,'10 Stamp-A-Stack event at my home! I wish you could join us! I live in the South West side of Oklahoma City. Email me at gaylesstampinnook@cox.net for more information!

Thanks for dropping by and have an awesome day or night!
