Ink: Old, Olive and Black
Stamp set: Fox and Friends and On Your Birthday
Accessories: Scallop Border Punch, Modern Label Punch, Mat & Paper Pierce Tool Kit, Dimenionals, Striped Bashful Blue Grosgrain Ribbon, Black Write IT Marker and White Crochet thread. Paper snips were used to cut out the little turtle.

Butterflies Galore #2

Hi all,
Here, I am back posting on my blog! Here's a card that I promised to share once I finished it. It's a copy of Diane's Butterfly card, the last one I posted. This is my version of it! Warning, I went crazy using the butterflies! The more the merrier, they say, right? That is what makes it fun!

Card stock used: Bermuda Bay for the base, Crushed Curry & Whisper White plus assorted scraps.
Stamp Set: On Your Birthday
Rich Razzleberry ink and dotted ribbon were used as well. The Curly Label Punch was used to cut the "let's celebrate" quote for the greeting.

Textured Impressions Embossing folder "Finial" was used on the Crushed Curry card stock. This is the first card I've used it on. The Big Shot is used with this folder as well as the last tool which is the Butterfly Embosslits die.

The Butterfly Embosslits die in the Spring mini catalog was used for cutting those butterflies out and Mini glue dots made the task of adhering them on the card easy. The tiniest butterflies needed only a half of a glue dot. Warning: do not attempt to move them once you have them in place because you will tear the paper underneath. So just don't try it, okay? Take my word for it...mmmmmaybe, that's why there are so many butterflies on this card!!!

Go to http://www.gaylesstampinnook.stampinup.net to place your order for the Butterfly Embosslits die or any of the other items used to make this card before the Spring Mini Catalog expires at the end of this month! Call or email me if I can be of service with your Stampin' UP! needs!

Have a great day!

Happy Moments for Someone # 2!

Here's birthday card using the Happy Moments Stamp set! If you like to make birthday cards, this stamp set is a must have!

I used the trio of stamps that are so cute when you stamp them with Black Stazon Stamp pad and then add the color with the Markers and blender pens.

I added ribbon across the card and with layering under the watercolor paper and w aah la you are done, well, almost. I stamped 'Happy Birthday' to finish it!

Want to learn to watercolor the Stampin' UP! way? Come on over to my workshop on Monday, April 12th, 2010 at 7 PM. Email me at gaylesstampinnook@cox.net to get more details!

Have a Happy Day!

Happy Moments for Someone!

Is it already Wednesday afternoon?  I have fell behind a little.  I have a card to share that is an anniversary card for some dear friends of mine. Their special day is coming on Saturday, the 10th of April! I have even written inside the card before photographing it!

Stamp Sets: Happy Moments, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Card stock: Regal Rose, Lavender Lace, Barely Banana, Very Vanilla and Watercolor paper! Ink: Black Stazon, Lavender Lace, Pink Passion, Summer Sun and Close to Cocoa

Techniques: Water coloring with Markers and Blender Pens; scraping the edges and sponging them with ink and paper piercing on edges. Stampin' Dimensionals and punchs finish the card!

So easy and quick. I added definition and texture with the scraping and sponging and the paper piercing adds more detail.

I hope Y and M (the initials of the couple who will receive it) will love it! I know I enjoyed making it for them.

Say, if you live in the Oklahoma Metro area and want to get together to stamp call me or email me about coming to my Stamp A Stack class on Saturday, the 10th, I still have room for you! It's only $23 for 10 cards with envelopes that you get to make, I supply everything but the adhesive. It's from 2 to 4:30PM. I must know that you are coming by Friday morning so go ahead and email me!

Have a wonderful day!

Vintage Vogue Friendship Card #2 & more

Go back and look at yesterday's post and compare these 2 cards. Here's Vintage Vogue #2 and it's almost identical. Different placement and words. Which do you like best?

The card on the left is one that I hesitate to share. Did I say that? The reason why is because this stamp set is no longer available. It is one of the very first sets that I purchased but I'm just now using it. I love it because the flowers look like the Dogwood tree blossoms. That is one of my favorite trees. I love driving through the country at Easter time in Oklahoma and seeing all the Dogwood trees in bloom! It makes me so homesick for my childhood home. Oh, to reminisce of times gone by...back to my card.
The card stock colors are Blush Blossom, So Saffron & Whisper White.
Ink: Close to Cocoa, Regal Rose & Certainly Celery
Accessories: Stampin' Dimensionals, Chocolate Chip Satin ribbon-available on the Clearance rack (I think) Check it out on my Stampin' UP! Website at http://wwww.gaylesstampinnook.stampinup.net
Finally, I used the Big Shot to emboss the card stock and to cut the Top Note!
I almost forgot to tell you that this is a 2 step stamp set.

This is the conclusion of the post that I started yesterday! Thanks so much for stopping by. Next, I plan on sharing some cards that use the watercolor technique.

HAPPY EASTER!!!
See you soon!
Gayle
