Day of Gratitude

Hi All,
I hope you are having a very good day!  The weekend is almost here, just hang on a little longer...This is my last card share for the week and I hope you enjoy it. It is a Thanksgiving card.
Here's how and what you need to make it with.

Stamp sets: Day of Gratitude.
Paper:  More Mustard, Cajun Craze and Very Vanilla
Inks:  More Mustard and Cajun Craze Classic Ink pads
Accessories:  Clear Mounts, Dimensionals (5), 1 small half pearl and Crystal Effects, Paper Snips, Dotted Scallop Border Punch
Technique:  Rocking and Rolling

This is a new stamp set that is in the Holiday Mini Catalog that sells for $18.95 for Clear Mount.   For 7 stamps that runs you less than $3 a stamp.  The wood mount set is $26.95.  You'll use 4 of the stamps on this card.  I try to use as many as possible to get the most for my money

On the medallion part, ink up the stamp by patting it with the ink pad as if clapping your hands using the More Mustard first then rolling the Cajun Craze ink pad just on the edge of the stamp to get that ink color on the edge only.  PRACTICE HELPS!  Be sure to huff on the center part as the ink begins drying out very quickly right before stamping on the paper.  Next,  place the sentiment, the acorn and the leaf stamps on the (H) clear mount and stamp them all at once!  What a time saver!  Cut out the medallion with your paper snips.

Punch out 2 strips of "lace" with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch.   Glue the "lace" in place with Snail adhesive, then the layers the Cajun Craze and Very Vanilla stamped strips, and the medallion with the dimensionals using one in the center so that part of it will stay lifted up.  Adhere the small half pearl with a tiny dot of Crystal Effects.  That way it won't come off.  Don't you just love the Crystal Effects?

Ta daa!  And that is that!   I have to thank my friend, Diane McCornack for showing me how do the 'Rock and Roll' technique.

Y'all come back soon, ya' hear!
Hugs, Gayle

Globlin Greetings

Hi all,

Here's another card I made for Saturday's World Card Making Day, it's all about using Stampin' Pastels and cutting out the pieces with your paper snips!  Here's the details:

Stamp sets:  Autumn Harvest, and Grateful Greetings

Paper:  Not Quite Navy, Naturals White, Old Olive and Chocolate Chip

Inks:  Stazon Black Ink, Stampin' Pastels and Soft Suede Pad

Accessories:  Paper Snips and Tombow Mono Glue, Sponge, Hair spray to set the chalk

Technique:  I used Q-tips to apply the Pastels and patience for cutting out the jack-o-lantern, pumpkin and stuff.  He-he.  I also cut out the sign.  It took a little time but wasn't hard to do. Finally, I sponged the Soft Suede ink on the sign before adhering with Tombow Mono Glue.  I really like this glue-it is so permanent!

And that is it!  Have an awesome day! Gayle

P.S. I cased (copy and share everything) off of a similar card in 2009-10 Big Catalog!

Fangtastic Kids #1 and #2

Hi All,

Hope you are having a wonderful day!  I've been busy making some more cards for Saturday's World Card Making Day.  You get two for the price of one, this time!

Aren't they cute?  I am featuring the technique of water coloring, it's so much fun!

I used water color paper because it works best!

The Stamp set:  Fang-tastic is in our Holiday Mini and I knew I wanted it from the get-go.  It's on page 10 and sells for $17.95 in clear mount.

Paper:  Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight

Ink Pads:  Stazon Black, Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzleberry, More Mustard, Chocolate Chip for her.  Pear Pizazz and Daffodil Delight and Basic Black were use for him.

Accessories:  Old Olive brads for her and So Saffron brads for him.  Blender pens were used to spread the ink in place on the water color paper.  I used the Scallop Trim Border for her and the Scallop Edge Border Punches.  Using the Paper Piercing Tool and the Mat Pack makes placing the brads so easy!

The technique used to water color then is squeezing the ink pad to get ink inside the lid.  Next we picked up the ink onto the tips of the blender pens and painted it on the paper.  In place of the blender pens you may use the Aqua pens.

If you have any questions please leave it in my comments box or email me.

Thanks for dropping by.  I will gladly help you with you stamping needs-just let me know how!

Be back soon.  Have a great day! Gayle

Here's goes for today!  Isn't she cute!  Sitting right there on that pumpkin like that is where she belongs.  I have been on a kick with giving my hand to water coloring.  It makes me feel like I am talented.  Who would have thought?  Me, an artist?  Mmmm...
