You're in MY thoughts...Card

Hi all!

I hope you are having an awesome day!  It is so nice weather wise in Oklahoma, the high temperature is in the mid 80s.  After having weeks of 100 plus temps, this is grand!

Here is a card we made for my friend Debbie's workshop on Tuesday night!  It was an easy one!  Let me share with you what is needed to make it:

Stamp Set: Word Play on page 147, #120651 Clear Mount is $28.95, or #120308 Wood Mount is $41.95 for the 12 sayings!  I knew when I saw it in the new catalog, I would want it because it is so awesome!

Card stock:  Crumb Cake, Real Red, Early Expresso and Very Vanilla!

Classic Stampin' Up! Ink Pad:  Early Expresso #119670 for $5.95

Accessories:  Real Red Satin Ribbon #117286 $8.95 for 15 yards, Embosslits Scalloped Heart of Hearts #117332 for $11.95 and the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine #113439 for $99.95!  I like the Big Shot because it doesn't have to have electricity and is very portable.  Once you purchase yours, you will have it to use for years and years.

You will see a similar card to this one in my next post with butterflies on it!

By the way, if you would like to make your own cards and have already purchased some Stampin' Up products, I'm having an event just for you!  Stampin' Up! Your Stuff is the name of this event!  Bring your Stampin' Up! supplies over on Tuesday, September 7th at 9AM or 7PM.

My next Stamp-a-Stack is scheduled for September 12th at 1 to 4PM.  We will make 10 beautiful cards (2 of 5 different designs).  I supply all materials except your adhesive.  The cost is only $20 if prepaid and  $23 on the day of.  I need you to RSVP so I can prepare your workspace.

I forgot to mention that the Summer Mini Catalog is expiring on August 31st, so if you want anything from it (look it over here), call me and I will add it to my order on Monday morning, August 30th.  That way I can save you money on shipping cost, if you are local!  If not you'll need to go on line and order!
See you soon!  Gayle

Get Well Wishes

Hi Everyone,

I hope today finds you doing very well, indeed!  Here's a card that I cased from one in March's Stampin' Success magazine.  This is a magazine that demonstrators receive from Stampin' Up!  It turned out a little different because I wanted to keep it very simple.  I am always needing a get well card to send someone who is sick, aren't you?

We made this on at my August Stamp-a-Stack class and the girls really liked it.

Stamp Set:  Teeny Tiny Wishes
Card Stock:  Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Barely Banana (retired), and Whisper White.
Ink Pad:  Soft Suede & So Saffron
Accessories:  Elegant Bouquet Embossing folder, Two Step Bird Extra Large Punch, Striped So Saffron Ribbon, Sponge Dauber and 1 Mini Glue Dot.  Plus, the Big Shot, how could I forget that one! LOL
Note:  I sponged the bird with the So Saffron ink from my stamp pad.  The rest is pretty self explanatory.
Thanks for stopping by.  If there is anything I can help you with as for your stamping needs, don't hesitate to let me know.  I'm as close as an email away!

Have a Stampin' great day!  Gayle

Thankful Thoughts of You

Hello ya'll,
I hope you are having a good day!  If you are like me, you are always needing thank you cards.  Here's one that I made a few days ago.

Card Stock:  Marina Mist, Cajun Craze, Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake
Ink: Crumb Cake
Stamp Sets:  Elements of Style & Grateful Greetings
Accessories:  1 Designers Button from the Neutral set, Scallop Trim Border, Small Oval and Scallop Oval Punches. Crochet thread makes my list complete.
I roughed up the edges of the crumb cake to give it more texture and that's it!  This card measures 5 x 4.25 inches making it smaller than the usual 5.5 x 4.25 inches.  Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you soon!

On Your Birthday-Wish BIG

This card is so fun to make!  It is probably the easiest one I have ever made, too!  It is a copy of one in the Stampin' Up! 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalog on page 165.  I changed it just a bit with the words from the On Your Birthday stamp set and on the inside I used the Word Play stamp set!
I used Whisper White and each of the IN COLORS were punched out with the small heart punch.
Ink:  Pear Pizazz and Blushing Bride and that is it!  Well, almost!  I bet you are wondering how I lined up the hearts in a straight row.  I used a small ruler and set the hearts at the top edge almost touching each other.  The  On Your Birthday stamp set is a must have if you want to make all of your birthday cards that you'll be giving to friends and family.  It has 12 sentiments and sells for $33.95.  That is less than $3 each individual stamp.  Let me invite you to my next Stamp-A-Stack on Sunday, September 12 at 1 to 4PM.  Email me for more details!

Scenic Season's Greeting Card

Here's card #2 from our recent Stamp-a-Stack!  I had the girls make one change to theirs.  They took a cotton swab and wiped off the Always Artichoke ink from the bird and replaced it with Cherry Cobbler using a Stampin' Write Marker.  You would be surprised how that little change can make the card more Christmasy.  That may be a new word...!

Here's the supply list to make this card:
Stamp set:  Scenic Season on page 36 of the Idea Book & Catalog 2010-11 Item # 115354   It sells for $24.95.  It comes as a wood set but I made mine into a Clear Mount set.  Email me to find out how you can do the same to your set!
Card Stock:   Crumb Cake, Always Artichoke and Whisper White
Ink:  Always Artichoke Stampin' Pad
Accessories:  Half Rhinestones on page 188 of the Idea Book & Catalog-Item # 119246  150 rhinestones for $4.95, Top Note bigz DIE on page 207-Item # 113463, The Big Shot on page 204 to cut the Top Note and finally the silver elastic cord for the bow (retired.)  Another quick and easy card!

Can you see yourself making your Christmas Cards instead of buying them off the shelve at the store?  There's something really special about receiving a handmade card that makes you know the sender cares about you!
I will be holding my next Stamp-a-Stack class on Sunday afternoon, September 12th at 1 - 4PM.  If you live in the Oklahoma City metro area I hope you can attend!
You will make 10 cards in all for only $20 if you prepay.  If paying the day of it will be $23.  I'll have all the necessary supplies except adhesive.  Email me with questions if you are interested in attending.  Thanks for dropping by!
